My host can roll back the php version to what ever I want they have done it before after they upgraded the php without notice, I do not think its a php ver issue as I am getting the following errorThe directions for upgrading from 3.0.x can be found here:
https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... /upgrade3/
Since your live server no longer supports the php version required for the first steps you will probably need to do this locally and then move it to the live server.
Directions are here for setting up local server: https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... eb-server/
if I recall correctly you probably need XAMPP with php version 5.4. Once you get to step 7 do it on the live server.
Table './xxxxxxx/phpbb3_sessions' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed [144]
An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.
I can only assume I need to replace the sessions file since the repairing of the DB file failed? I spent 2 hrs on the phone with Hostgator already today trying to figure out their new website, STILL unable to create a FTP account and connect to that account using Filezilla. As I type this I am waiting for someone to appear in the tech support chat to resolve FTP.
I think I still have a Raspberry Pi with a web server set up on it.
Thanks.
