Thanksdepending on what version of google recaptcha you are using your version may be out of date.
having said that, people have reported problems with that recaptcha ever since it first came out years ago.
the built in Q&A anti spam works just fine and with the right question will stop pretty close to all of the spam registrations.
you have to find a question that only a human can answer. nothing that the answer can be found in google will work. the spam bots
can use google better than we can.
luck,
robert
We tried the Q&A thing originally but spammers were copying the answers and posting them to a list on the web. Bots are not so much of an issue be we get a lot of human spammers these days.
I am just weighing up whether the recaptcha is doing more harm than good.
We are also getting spammers using Ai to make what, on the surface look like genuine posts but then of course, they come back later and insert their links.
