i am in the process of moving a forum from an old server to platform.sh.
at the moment, the old forum is untouched but i have played around with my codebase and setting up on platform.sh. the old (live) forum is still on 3.3.11. i have now upgraded the development version of my forum which is set up on platform.sh to 3.3.12. to see if things work. they do which is great.

now it occurs to me that when the day comes and i want to actually move my server to the new location, i will have to import an uptodate database. will this cause any issues?
can i import a database that runs on 11 into a server that is already updated to 12? or would i have to upgrade the live server's version first to make sure there are no compatability issues?
