[3.3.x] Support Forum • Maximum login attempts. captcha required

Hi there!
I have a problem on my 3.3.10 board.
Me (admin) and lots of my board's users has this advice while logging-in to the board.
(i have this problem while i'm logging-in in the PCA that requires the second auth)

Too many attempts of login. You have to insert this CAPTCHA now.

The problem starts a few days ago. I changed the antispam method from hCaptcha to a valid Q&A (like suggested by support team).
I've set up maximum login attempts to 3.

Now, every login it asks the captcha. When I insert the captcha required, it does login correctly, but for the next attempt, it requires the captha again...why? Does the forum reset the maximum login attempt by itself or i have to do it manually instead?

I read a few topic about that (like viewtopic.php?t=2393436) and i read i've to reset via SQL or via EXT (it's not supported anymore)...but when i make a correct login, why doesn't it restore the value to 0?

It's difficult to think about a continuos attack to all users, it's not a big forum...is it possible?
Is it possibile instad i've setted something wrong in my APC?

how can i solve this problem?
