For warmweer, thank you for for your post. Referencing your recommendation, "... I would just restore that board.". I did download the zip file for phpBB3 3.2.5 yesterday and unpacked it on my PC. Question; what is meant by restore? Though I understand it could mean return the board files to the manufacture's specifications. That written, the ACP has the configuration information which is scattered among what I suspect are many files in many folders. So, how to maintain the configuration and restore. I have not found a command restore nor the mention of it in the 3.2.5 Users Guide. Please give me some guidance on attacking the restore process.
For SSI, so sorry still no joy on your suspicions. I disabled the extension Header Banner in Customize* tab but, I guess Board Setting does not change. In fact... Board Settings menu choice is gone, kaput, invisible, not there any more. Please see screen shot image below of the General Tab:

Also notice the module name Header Banner (found as the last item in the Board Configuration menu list) is also not there anymore.
Maybe once the restore is completed, the board ACP will respond as expected.
