Thanks for the suggestion, I tried that, to no avail.Couldn't reproduce with "clean" 3.3.14 installation. Is the used custom style up to date?
Also, you might want to try synchronizing forums via ACP/Forums tab to ensure there're no issues with non-existent forum IDs somewhere.
It will probably a feature now, maybe until the next major update.
